The soil amendment is any of a class of materials which are then utilized to adjust the soil for increased fertility.
A classifications may be mineral, such as lime to "sweeten" the soil, to produce it less acidic (or sour), fertilizers, to add depleted plant nutrients, or poop, like clay, peat, sand, manure or compost.
For instance the soil inoculant is added for legumes.
